Single Tickets

There is a zone system within the network. The spatial and temporal validity is printed on the ticket or can be viewed in the app.

The Short Distance Ticket (Kurzstreckenbillett)

Short Distance Tickets are valid for journeys up to a maximum of 4 stops or 4 taxpoints, even if several zones are travelled through. A taxpoint counts the same as a stop when determining the tariff. With the SBB, a short journey corresponds a maxiumum of 2 km.

The TNW zone traiff

The fare and the temporal validity depend on the number of zones travelled through. You can find the zone map with tax points here.

• Within the period of validity, you can make any number of journeys on the purchased route or within the zone(s). This means that return journeys are also possible, for example.
• The eight-zone ticket is valid for any journeys throughout the TNW area during the period of validity.
• With a Half Fare Travelcard, you can purchase tickets (except season tickets) at a reduced rate.

Please note: electronic tickets must be purchased before departure – preferably before boarding.
