What can I do with a Day Ticket?

• The day ticket allows you to take as many journeys as you want within the zones specified at any time throughout the day.
• Day tickets, which are purchased in advance, must be validated with a time and date stamp at a ticket-cancelling machine before the start of the first trip.
• The day ticket is valid until 5.00 am on the following day.
• A day ticket ceases to be valid after one year.

«Basel» Day Ticket (The Greater Basel area)

For unrestricted journeys within TNW zones 10, 11, 13 (EuroAirport), 14 and 15, validate a «Basel» Day Ticket. The day ticket is not valid for cross-boarder travelling.

«TNW» Day Tickets (covering the entire TNW network)

«TNW» Day Tickets are valid without restriction throughout all zones in the whole TNW network. The day ticket is not valid for cross-boarder travelling.

Multiple day tickets (2- and 7-days) are valid for uninterrupted travel from the start time stamped at a ticket machine for the entirety of the ticket’s validity. If you return on the same day*, a day ticket for the whole TNW area saves you money from five zones for adults and from seven zones for reduced rates.

* But after the 2-hour validity period of the single ticket has expired

The multi-day ticket (6-day multipack)

Multiple day tickets are also available in the form of a practical 6-pack - for six single days. The multi-day ticket expires after one year.

Where can I buy a day ticket?

«Basel» or «TNW» 1-Day Tickets are available at all transport sales offices, ticket machines, in the Apps («Tickets»; «öV Plus») and at the bus drivers of BLT, PostAuto and AutoBus AG.

«TNW» Day Tickets (2- or 7-Day Tickets) can only be purhcased at the Sales offices, at the TNW/SBB ticket machines or via SBB App.
