Ordering and purchasing the U-Abo subscription
The U-Abo subscription can be purchased through different sales channels. Select your preferred option:
1. Anytime via app or online
«Home of U-Abo» Portal or U-Abo App
At u-abo.ch, you can conveniently purchase or renew online your and your family's personal U-Abo subscription, manage your data yourself (e.g., change your address when you move), stay informed, and benefit from special offers. Your U-Abo is stored in the U-Abo app or the SwissPass.
With the BLT and BVB U-Abo app, you can purchase a new personal monthly or annual subscription or renew your existing one anytime, anywhere. Do you have a paper subscription? Simply transfer it to your smartphone.

sbb.ch or SBB Mobile
The personal U-Abo subscription is conveniently available via SBB's digital sales channels. You will need a SwissPass to purchase it. With the SwissPass, you not only have access to your public transport subscription, but also to attractive leisure offers from various partners.
You can obtain your SwissPass at swisspass.ch or at sales offices in the TNW area.

2. In person at sales points or ticket machines

At a ticket machine
SBB ticket machine: monthly and annual U-Abo subscriptions can also be purchased around the clock from all SBB ticket machines in the TNW area. You will need a SwissPass to do this. Payment can be made in cash, by Maestro card, Postcard, credit card or Reka money.
Green ticket machine: Identify yourself using your personal U-Abo Card at the green ticket machine and select the desired subscription period. You can pay conveniently with Maestro card, Postcard or credit card. Renewed U-Abos subscriptions are issued in the form of a handy U-Abo ticket. Only the original (non-laminated) U-Abo subscription is valid as a legal ticket.
